Canon`s pre-festival treat for customers offers free service camp for printers across 11 cities in the country

No.1 Complete Digital Imaging Company announced the launch of their 11 city free
customer service camps for printers. These camps start on September 18, 2008 and
travel through the cities of Jaipur and New Delhi in the North, Kolkata and Guwahati
in the East, Mumbai, Pune and Goa in the West, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and
Kochi in the South. Spanning the entire country to ensure that Canon customers
across the length and breadth of the country are touched with the camps the program
finishes on December 21, 2008. This mega free service camps for printers are
launched just before the festive season to ensure that customers are delighted as
always by Canon’s innovation in service

The service camps will be conducted in strategic locations in these cities to help
more and more customers conveniently reach these destinations and avail this unique
opportunity. Commenting on such a widespread customer service initiative by Canon,
Mr. Alok Bharadwaj, Senior Vice President, Canon India said, “At Canon we consider,
service as a key differentiator for our products. The free service that we extend to
our customers is our way of proactively reaching out to customers and reassuring
them that the company cares.” He further added, “Apart from free service these camps
also intend to educate customers maintain healthier printers and run them cost
effectively.”

The customers can just walk into any service camp with their product to avail the
free service camp.

Mr VP Sajeevan, Assistant Director, Consumer System Products Division, Canon India
added, “We have planned this activity around the time of regional festivals in most
of these cities as it is the opportune time to grab the customers’ attention to
issues of ill effects of refilled cartridges and the eventual cost increases on
using the same. This will also be an ideal ground for channel partners to re-connect
with the existing customers, yet another unique way by Canon to help channel
partners.”

Mr Shamim Qadri, Assistant Director, Market Engineering added, “As part of our
constant endeavour to provide world class service to the customer and bring the
Canon experience close to him, we have initiated the service camps to help the
customer extend the life of his Canon printer. The life of a printer is dependent on
its proper usage and maintenance. At Canon it is always our effort to educate
customers on better maintenance of their printers. This camp is one more step
towards this effort. We see this as another initiative towards our motto of
Delighting you Always”
